Hillsborough Castle's Gardens

The 2013 Airtricity Garden Festival takes place for the first time in the glorious gardens and on the lawns of Hillsborough Castle! The myriad of displays and performances at the Show will be spread within the beautiful parkland of Hillsborough Castle, a hidden gem in Northern Ireland's heritage.

The house itself will be open to Garden Festival patrons at a very special rate during the weekend of the Show: £3.50 Adult, £2 Concessions. Tickets can be bought at the door.

Growers Pavilion and Plant Mall

A myriad of plants and flowers produced by specialist growers and nurserymen will be on display at Garden Show Ireland 2013. The growers themselves will be on hand to share their knowledge and give expert advice on planting and growing.

Garden Roadshow

On Friday 17 May Monty Don, best known for presenting BBC TV’s Gardeners’ World, will be in the Garden Roadshow marquee to talk about his garden and answer your gardening questions. Each day a team of gardening experts answers questions about all your gardening queries.

Garden Style

Sunday is style day at the 2013 Garden Festival! Join the fun! Fantastic prizes will be on offer for the person dressed in the most appropriate style for the garden.

Country crafts

Learn how to weave a basket, or make your own pottery! Or just browse and buy in the Craft Pavilion! From pottery and designer hand-knits to silk scarves and handmade cards, there will be something for all tastes in this popular area of the show.

Flower Arranging Pavilion

Learn how to create stunning flower arrangements! International Florist, Richard Haslam, will be giving demonstrations and workshops and will advise not just on how to make an arrangement look wonderful, but also which plants and flowers to grow to create it!  

Food Market

Indulge yourself in the Food Market! Local produce from cupcakes and chutneys to cider and cheeses, there's mouth-watering local produce to buy.

Garden Gourmet

The Garden Gourmet demonstrates delicious recipees created from produce you can grow in the garden!

Jazz, Wine and Cream Teas

The bandstand is a popular place for visitors to relax with a glass of wine and soak up the atmosphere of Hillsborough Castle's gardens. Cream teas, organic roast hog and fresh organic salads are just some of the tempting delicacies on offer around the show.
